User Guide
Updated July 20, 2026 · covers the current app version
Fegnome shows you what’s actually on dispensary shelves near you — with real prices,
honest freshness, and strain chemistry grounded in laboratory results instead of marketing copy.
This guide walks every part of the app. Skim the headings; each section stands alone.
Getting started
The first launch walks you through five quick steps:
- Age check — Fegnome is for adults 21+ in recreational-legal states.
- Your subscription — Fegnome starts with a 7-day free trial, then the plan
you picked (monthly or annual, billed through Google Play). Cancel anytime in the Play app; if you
cancel during the trial you’re never charged. We’ll remind you in-app before the trial ends.
- A note on your data — whether you’re willing to share anonymous,
state-level usage signals someday. Entirely optional; declining changes nothing. You can flip this
anytime in the You tab.
- Pick your state — the app shows one state at a time. Switch anytime by
tapping the state chip in the header.
- ZIP code (optional) — add a ZIP and a radius to sort the world around
where you actually are. It stays on your device; we never use GPS. Skip it to browse the whole state.
Home — what’s in stock right now
- Category chips across the top switch between Flower, Vapes, Concentrates,
Edibles, Pre-rolls, and more.
- The sort chip (right side of the chip row) reorders the list: New
arrivals, Longest tracked, A to Z, price in either direction, or
THC. Price and arrival sorts rank the entire state, not just what’s loaded; THC sorts
rank the freshest hundred listings (the app tells you so at the bottom of the list).
- Keep scrolling — the list loads more as you go. When you truly reach the
end, it says so: “That’s every live listing.”
- With a ZIP set, everything filters to your radius; tap the ZIP chip in the
header to widen, change, or clear it.
Search — the magnifying glass
One search box, four kinds of answers: strains (searched nationally — a
strain is a strain everywhere), products and dispensaries (searched
in your state), and tags like effects or flavors. Recent searches are remembered on
your device only.
Discover — the editorial tab
Five data-driven sections, refreshed through the day. Any section with more to show has a
“See all” link to the full list.
- New this week — items that first appeared on menus near you in the last
7 days, across every category.
- On sale — real markdowns only: we show a discount only when the math
checks out against the listing’s own regular price.
- Below typical price — listings sitting unusually low against their own
price history.
- Strains dominant in… — a rotating daily terpene, with strains
that genuinely lead with it. Tap a strain to learn why that matters.
- Award-winning — cup and competition winners currently in stock in your
state, with the award named on each card.
Strain pages — the chemistry, for real
- Chemistry comes from laboratory Certificates of Analysis, not the menu blurb.
“Total THC” follows the standard lab conversion (THCA converts during heating —
the figure reflects what the product delivers, not just what’s in the jar).
- Terpenes show the strain’s dominant aromatic compounds — tap any
terpene to see its flavors, aromas, and commonly reported effects.
- Lineage shows documented parents and offspring. Cannabis genealogy is real
and surprisingly deep — tap through it.
- Similar strains suggests neighbors based on chemistry and genetics.
- In stock near you lists live listings of the strain, cheapest and freshest
first, at real stores.
Product pages & the sigils
Products carry small line-drawn marks we call sigils — a visual shorthand
for what the product actually is: how a concentrate was extracted, what hardware a vape uses, what
form an edible takes, whether a pre-roll is infused. Tap any sigil, anywhere in the app,
and it explains itself in plain language. Sigils are strictly honest: they only appear when
the underlying data supports the claim.
Product pages also show the details we could verify (potency, weight, extraction, dose), current
availability across stores (cheapest first), and the price history we’ve observed.
Dispensary pages
- The menu is organized by category tabs, scrolls without end, and sorts the
same way Home does.
- Make it your store — set a default dispensary and the app leads with it
wherever it can (a “Your store” badge marks its listings).
- Directions, hours, services — pickup, delivery, curbside where known,
and a one-tap route in your maps app.
Faves — the genie lamp
- Tap the genie lamp on any strain, product, or dispensary to save it to your
Wishlist.
- After you’ve tried something, mark it with a thumbs up or down —
it moves to your Tried list with your verdict. An item can be in both lists.
- Everything lives on your device only. No account, no cloud, no one reading your list.
The freshness pill
Every listing carries a small freshness marker showing how recently we confirmed it on the
store’s menu. Menus refresh on a roughly daily cycle; anything we haven’t seen for more
than a week leaves the app entirely. That’s the honesty deal: if data is missing, we
show nothing rather than a guess — and prices can change at the counter, so always
confirm with the store.
Your subscription
- Manage or cancel in the Google Play app → Payments & subscriptions.
Uninstalling Fegnome does not cancel a subscription.
- Reinstalled or new phone? Tap Restore purchases on the
subscription screen — your subscription rides your Google account, not the install.
Privacy, in thirty seconds
No accounts. No personal information collected. No GPS. Your saves, notes, and settings stay on
your device. Anonymized crash reports help us fix bugs; payment runs entirely through Google Play.
The full plain-language version: Privacy Policy.
Tips & troubleshooting
- State picker looks short? Fegnome lists states with legal recreational sales
and publicly posted menus — coverage grows as states come online.
- An item disappeared? Menus change daily; when a product leaves a store’s
menu it leaves the app. Save things to your Wishlist to keep track of them.
- Price different at the register? We show the store’s posted menu price
at last check — taxes and same-day changes are the store’s domain.
- No items near you? Widen your ZIP radius, or clear the ZIP to see the whole
state.
- Something looks wrong? Tell us — the You tab’s
Report an Issue goes straight to a human.
