Fegnome is built so that we know as little about you as possible. This policy describes, in plain language, what the Fegnome app does and does not do with data. The short version: no accounts, no personal information collected, no location tracking, no ads, no sale of data — anonymized crash reports so we can fix bugs, and a subscription handled by Google Play so we never see your payment details.
Your preferences live only in the app’s storage on your phone and are never uploaded: your age-gate confirmation, chosen state and ZIP code, default dispensary, theme, saved items (wishlist and tried lists), notes, and recent searches. Deleting the app deletes them. The “Reset all” option in the app’s settings clears them on demand.
When you browse, the app sends anonymous, read-only queries to our database (for example: “flower products in Arizona near ZIP 85001, sorted by price”). These queries use a shared public key that is the same for every user, are not tied to any account or profile, and are used to answer your request — not to build a history of you.
Fegnome requires a paid subscription (with a free trial), purchased through Google Play. Google processes the payment — we never receive your name, card number, or billing address. To unlock the app after a purchase, we use RevenueCat, a purchase-validation service. RevenueCat receives the purchase token that Google issues for the transaction and a randomly generated anonymous identifier created on your device — not your identity, and not tied to anything outside the app. This purchase record (product, purchase and renewal dates, trial status) is kept while your subscription exists so the app knows to stay unlocked, including after you reinstall. Subscriptions are managed and cancelled in the Google Play app, not with us.
On first run, the app asks whether you’re willing to share anonymous usage information — for example, which strains are popular in your state — to help improve Fegnome. This is aggregate, state-level information with no identity attached, and it is entirely optional: declining changes nothing about what you can use. You can revisit your choice from the app’s settings.
The app includes crash reporting (provided by Sentry) so that when something breaks, we can fix it. If the app crashes or hits an error, a diagnostic report is sent that includes:
These reports are configured to be anonymous: we do not attach any user identity (there is none to attach), we have disabled the storage of IP addresses, and we strip location data derived from them. Diagnostics are used solely to find and fix defects, and are automatically deleted by our crash-reporting provider on a rolling schedule.
Fegnome is intended only for adults 21 years of age or older in US states where recreational cannabis is legal. The app asks you to confirm your age before use; that confirmation is stored only on your device.
Fegnome is not directed at anyone under 21, and we do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21 — or, as described above, from anyone at all.
| Service | Purpose | What it receives |
|---|---|---|
| Supabase | Database hosting for strain, menu, and price data | Anonymous read-only queries (state, ZIP, search terms) — no identity |
| Sentry | Crash and error reporting | Anonymized diagnostics as described above — no identity, no stored IP, no location |
| Expo (EAS) | App updates delivery | Standard update-check requests from the app — no identity |
| Google Play | Subscription billing | Your payment, processed entirely by Google under Google's own terms and privacy policy — we never see payment details |
| RevenueCat | Purchase validation and subscription status | Google's purchase token and a random anonymous app identifier — no name, no email, no payment details |
If you tap a link to a dispensary’s website or open a map, you leave Fegnome and the destination’s own privacy practices apply.
Because we hold no personal data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct, or delete on request — your data is on your device, under your control. Anonymized crash diagnostics expire automatically. If you believe we hold anything about you, contact us and we will investigate: hello@fegnome.com.
If we change this policy, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date. If a future feature ever collects more than what is described here, we will say so plainly before it ships.
